Approved regional organisations
Trail Partners
Approved councils, tourism organisations, cooperatives, associations and other eligible organisations can create and maintain regional Food & Farm Trails on FarmGateRun.
What is a Food & Farm Trail?
It is a curated collection of approved, route-eligible FarmGateRun places organised around a region or theme. It remains separate from Community Routes created by travellers and businesses.
Visitors use the FarmGateRun website to explore a trail, add available stops to a private route and open directions. They do not need to download an app.
Who may apply?
- Councils and local government bodies.
- Tourism associations and regional tourism organisations.
- Cooperatives and incorporated regional, producer, industry or community associations.
- Other organisations FarmGateRun accepts after reviewing their regional purpose and governance.
- An authorised employee or representative using a verified work email.
Eligibility is not automatic. FarmGateRun reviews every organisation, the applicant's authority and all public trail content before publication.
What approved Trail Partners can do
- Create and maintain moderated regional trail drafts.
- Add eligible, approved FarmGateRun listings as trail stops.
- Submit a missing place through the existing listing-moderation process.
- Invite authorised organisation members with limited roles.
Clear ownership boundaries
Trail Partner verification does not make an organisation the owner of a listed business. Organisation-contributed places remain unclaimed until the business completes FarmGateRun's normal claim process.
Trail approval is permission to publish the trail. It is not certification of a business, products, roads, opening hours, bookings, safety or accessibility.
Before applying
You must provide accurate organisation and contact information, explain your authority to apply, and have permission to submit any names, descriptions, logos or other content. Public and private contact fields are collected separately. Verification evidence and private contacts are not published.
Applications and later trail submissions remain subject to FarmGateRun moderation, the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Content Policy.
Apply to become a Trail Partner
Use a normal FarmGateRun account. You will be asked to verify its email address before opening an application.
