Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of FarmGateRun. By using FarmGateRun, you agree to these Terms.

1. About FarmGateRun

FarmGateRun is a directory and route planning website for farms, farm-gate sellers, local producers, food pickup points and related businesses. FarmGateRun helps users find listings, view approved product information, add stops to a route and open a route in Google Maps. FarmGateRun is not currently an ecommerce platform. We do not process online food orders, payments, refunds, deliveries or seller payouts through the website.

2. Directory service only

Unless clearly stated otherwise, FarmGateRun does not own listed businesses, sell listed products, prepare food, deliver products, guarantee product availability, guarantee prices, guarantee opening hours, certify food safety or guarantee the accuracy of third-party listing information.

3. Producer responsibility

Producers and listed businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, product descriptions, availability, prices, photos, opening hours, pickup instructions, food safety compliance, council registrations, labelling, allergen information, customer communication and any sale or pickup arrangement made outside FarmGateRun.

4. User responsibility

Visitors and customers are responsible for confirming opening hours, product availability, prices and pickup conditions directly with the producer, deciding whether a producer or product is suitable, and using routes and maps safely.

5. Food safety

Food sellers are responsible for complying with applicable Australian food safety laws, council requirements, labelling obligations and allergen disclosure requirements. FarmGateRun may display food safety notes or registration information supplied by producers or reviewed by admin. This does not mean FarmGateRun certifies the safety of the food or business unless expressly stated.

6. Home-based food sellers

Home-based food sellers must comply with applicable food safety and council requirements. FarmGateRun may reject or remove listings that appear incomplete, unsafe, misleading or non-compliant.

7. Admin approval and moderation

FarmGateRun may review, approve, reject, edit, hide or remove listings, products, photos, enquiries or user accounts at its discretion. A listing may be submitted by a Business Account or community contributor, or authorised through the separate email-confirmed no-account business permission process, and is not shown publicly until FarmGateRun admin approves it. No-account publication permission does not create a Business Account, claim or listing-management access. A public community-contributed listing does not mean the business has registered or claimed the listing, or that it manages the listing. Business control is transferred only after FarmGateRun approves a separate claim. Approval of a listing means the listing is allowed to appear on FarmGateRun. It does not mean FarmGateRun guarantees the producer, product, food safety, availability, legality or suitability of the listing.

8. User accounts

Users must provide accurate information when registering and keep login details secure. FarmGateRun may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the website, submit false information, upload inappropriate content, spam users or breach these Terms.

9. Uploaded content

By uploading text, photos, product details or listing information, you confirm that you have the right to upload and publish that content, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it is not misleading, offensive, unlawful, unsafe or infringing. You give FarmGateRun permission to display approved uploaded content on the website and in related promotional material for the purpose of promoting the listing and FarmGateRun.

10. Prohibited content

You must not upload or submit false or misleading claims, unsafe food claims, offensive or abusive content, copyright-infringing images or text, illegal products or services, spam, malware or private information about another person without permission.

11. Routes, maps and distance filters

FarmGateRun may generate route links using Google Maps. FarmGateRun distance and map filters are planning aids only. Distances and closest-first ordering are approximate and depend on listing coordinates, your chosen start point and third-party map data. Unlimited distance, local radius filters and route links do not optimise a route, guarantee driving times, guarantee road suitability or confirm that a business is open or available. FarmGateRun does not control Google Maps and is not responsible for route accuracy, road closures, travel times, navigation errors, fuel costs, traffic, weather, safety conditions, access restrictions, private roads or farm access conditions. Users should drive safely and follow road rules.

12. Enquiries

When you send an enquiry through FarmGateRun, your message and contact details may be provided to the relevant producer and stored for admin purposes. FarmGateRun is not responsible for the outcome of communications, bookings, pickups or transactions between users and producers.

13. No guarantee of availability

Products, opening hours, pickup times and prices may change. Users should confirm details directly with producers before travelling or relying on the information.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FarmGateRun is not liable for loss, damage, injury, delay, missed pickup, incorrect listing information, product issues, food safety issues, route issues or disputes between users and producers.

16. Changes to FarmGateRun

FarmGateRun may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time.

FarmGateRun may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page.

Community-contributed listings

You must submit factual information in good faith, respect privacy, avoid duplicates, and only upload photos you took or have permission to share. A check-in does not prove business ownership. Community submissions, visits, claims and suggested edits may be reviewed, merged, rejected or removed. Business control is transferred only after FarmGateRun approves a claim. Do not submit passwords, payment information, confidential documents or sensitive personal information.

19. QR code terms

Where the Business QR Code Toolkit is enabled, access is limited to an approved, published and claimed listing managed by an active account with a verified email address. Pending, hidden, suspended, unclaimed, rejected or merged listings are not eligible. FarmGateRun may change feature availability, download formats and active-code limits, or temporarily disable the toolkit for security, legal or operational reasons. Disabling the toolkit does not by itself delete existing QR records. You should verify the displayed destination and test a proof before printing or publishing any QR code. A FarmGateRun listing QR may use a source marker for aggregate activity. Each direct custom QR code permanently contains the exact external HTTPS destination approved when it is created, does not use a FarmGateRun redirect and cannot be edited in place. Replacing it creates a new version; old printed copies continue to open the old destination. External websites, booking systems and menus are third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

20. Traveller Rewards if offered

A Traveller Reward is a business-funded percentage discount, not cashback, points, stored value, a gift card, a payment service or a paid traveller membership. The participating business sets the eligible listing, percentage, dates, minimum purchase, frequency and other published conditions, and remains responsible for lawful, accurate and non-misleading promotion. FarmGateRun may verify account eligibility and calculate the discount, but the business applies it through its normal checkout. FarmGateRun does not sell the goods or services, take the customer's payment, hold funds, process refunds, manage chargebacks or guarantee that a business will complete a transaction. A claim may be refused or reversed if it is expired, duplicated, ineligible, fraudulent or contrary to the published terms. Nothing in this clause excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Country of operation

FarmGateRun currently supports listings and routes in Australia. Businesses remain responsible for the national, regional, local, food-safety, consumer, privacy, tax and licensing rules that apply where they operate. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

21. Produce Alerts

Produce Alerts are time-sensitive information supplied by approved listing owners. Expressing interest is non-binding: it does not reserve produce, create an order, guarantee availability or establish a sale. Travellers must confirm current availability, price, pickup and suitability before travelling. Producers must keep alerts accurate, use review dates and update or close stale, sold-out or finished alerts.

Private Events and Group Bookings

FarmGateRun provides enquiry, private-message and quotation tools only. An enquiry, availability indication, quote acceptance or platform status is not payment and is not a guaranteed booking unless the business confirms it directly. Event payments, deposits, refunds, cancellations and disputes are handled between the customer and business outside FarmGateRun. Public offers may be indexed and unlisted offers may be accessed by anyone who receives the link. Users must not share private contact or attendee information outside the intended enquiry participants. FarmGateRun provides the enquiry and quotation tools. The event agreement is between you and the business. Confirm all inclusions, licences, insurance, accessibility and cancellation conditions before proceeding.

Assisted listing authority

The assisted private-draft service remains a separate route. A requester must own or be authorised to act for the business. Permission applies only to individually nominated public sources with an affirmative permission record. It does not authorise access to passwords, private accounts, restricted pages, private messages or customer data. The service produces a private draft and does not authorise publication until its separate business-approval requirement is satisfied. Permission may be withdrawn before publication.

No-account business listing permission

An owner or authorised business representative may separately give publication permission without creating an account. The representative must confirm the submitted email address and permission through the private, expiring email link. Permission applies only to the exact public website and social-page URLs nominated in that request. It permits FarmGateRun to manually review factual business information, write an original summary and publish the listing only after administrator moderation. It does not permit copying reviews, ratings, testimonials, customer posts or photographs, tagged content, private or restricted material, or other third-party content. Images may be used only when the representative separately gives the optional image permission and confirms that the business owns them or has the rights needed to authorise FarmGateRun's use. This route creates no account, claim or listing-management access. The business may request correction or removal without an account and may later complete the separate verified claim process.

Shared Routes and Community Routes

Saved routes are private unless their owner expressly publishes them. Publishing creates a public snapshot with a FarmGateRun link and QR code. The creator is responsible for route titles, notes, business attribution, featured-destination choices and suitability information. FarmGateRun may moderate, expire, hide or remove shared routes, reports and directory or listing placements that are inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, misleading or inconsistent with our policies. Route information is general planning information only. Availability, access, opening hours, road conditions and suitability can change. Travellers must verify stops, routes and conditions before travel. Copying a shared route creates a private editable copy and does not transfer ownership of the creator’s original content. A traveller-created route shown on a listing is a community suggestion unless it is clearly identified as business-created. FarmGateRun may display an active published route on the homepage as a planning example. The demonstration is informational, does not add stops to a visitor’s route and does not represent a guarantee or endorsement of a stop, road, travel time or route condition. Creators may use FarmGateRun route links, QR codes and printable cards online or in print. They must not alter them in a misleading way or imply endorsement, availability, safety or an official business relationship that does not exist.

Traveller listing social links

A Traveller may optionally submit a link to their own public social content for a listing only when they created that listing through Add a Place. A visit, check-in, favourite or route stop does not grant this permission. Each listing may have a different link. This does not create a separate Influencer or Creator account type and does not require a Business Account, plan or payment. FarmGateRun may review, reject, suspend or remove the social profile or listing-specific link. It remains independent community attribution and does not represent the listed business or transfer listing ownership or management access. External content is controlled by third parties and may change after review.

Country Kitchen recipes

Verified Traveller and Business users may submit recipes without a plan or payment. Contributors must have the right to share recipe text, stories, names, original documents, photographs and videos. A traditional dish does not give permission to reproduce a protected cookbook page, photograph, introduction or distinctive instructions. FarmGateRun may review, return, reject, archive or remove recipe content, media or I Made This contributions. Approval does not transfer copyright or guarantee measurements, safety, availability, results or suitability. FarmGateRun does not silently use AI or OCR to rewrite approved Original Recipe wording.

Optional creator or channel attribution on Recipes

Where this optional feature is offered, an existing Recipe contributor with an active account and verified email may enter a public creator or channel name and a direct HTTPS page for a Recipe they own. The contributor must have the right to publish the name and destination and must accurately disclose payment, sponsorship, gifts, affiliate commission or another relevant commercial relationship. The attribution, destination and disclosure are part of that Recipe version and are reviewed through the normal Recipe moderation decision. This does not create a Chef profile, creator application, channel directory, verification badge, special role or transfer process. Recipe approval does not verify identity, qualifications, employment, control of a wider channel, recipe safety, results or endorsement. The official destination is distinct from Source or inspiration attribution.

Brand and stockist information

A business user may submit a brand profile and information that a genuine customer-accessible shop, café, retailer or other permitted location normally stocks that brand. By submitting or reconfirming it, the user confirms that they are authorised to represent the brand; the relationship and broad product or range information have a reasonable, current basis; the location is not a duplicate, private residence, non-public warehouse or misleading location; and they will correct, pause or end information that is no longer current. Linking a brand does not make the producer the owner or manager of the retailer listing. The retailer may claim its listing, correct its own details, confirm or dispute a relationship, or opt out. FarmGateRun may review, merge, restrict, pause, reject, remove or retain records to manage accuracy, duplicates, disputes, safety, privacy and platform integrity. Display does not guarantee live inventory or an ongoing supply relationship. FarmGateRun is not a party to any supply, wholesale, retail or payment arrangement.

Private delivery information and Delivery Runs

A business user may store private delivery contact, access, schedule and route-planning information for its own authorised business use. Submit only information reasonably necessary for that purpose, protect account access and do not upload unlawful, abusive or unrelated personal information. Delivery Runs are private planning tools only. FarmGateRun does not accept, dispatch, carry or confirm deliveries and does not create orders, invoices, delivery contracts or proof of delivery.

Accommodation bookings and enquiries

Farm Stay and Caravan Park availability, pricing, bookings, payments, changes, cancellations and refunds are handled directly by the accommodation operator. FarmGateRun provides discovery, route-planning and enquiry tools only. An enquiry is not a booking. Enquiry contact details are stored and shared with the relevant operator so they can respond.

Distance filters and route planning

FarmGateRun distance filters, closest-first sorting, map pins and route links are approximate planning aids only. Unlimited distance and local radius searches do not optimise routes, guarantee driving times, guarantee road suitability or confirm that a business is open or available.

Caravan and towing routes

FarmGateRun does not currently account for caravan dimensions, towing restrictions, low clearances, weight limits, unsealed roads, seasonal closures or live road conditions. Users must check the proposed route, current road conditions and park access requirements before travelling.

Free Business Accounts and listings

Creating, claiming and managing standard FarmGateRun listings is free. Standard listings have no charge or checkout step. No payment card, subscription, expiry or plan selection is required.

External Book Online and Order Online links

An eligible claimed business may supply an approved HTTPS link to its own booking or online ordering page, or to a chosen provider. The external business or provider controls that website and handles availability, prices, customer information, bookings, orders, payments, deposits, changes, cancellations, refunds and disputes under its own terms and privacy practices. FarmGateRun does not process the booking, order or payment, does not become a party to the transaction and does not guarantee the external service. A business booking or ordering link does not represent endorsement or guarantee bookings, orders or sales. Businesses are responsible for keeping the destination lawful, accurate, secure and current.
